Dag Vijf

De collage. Gebruikmakend van wat er de afgelopen dagen gemaakt is, vroeg ik de studenten collages te maken rond het onderwerp waar ze zich de komende weken met hun eigen docenten mee bezig zullen houden: the body. Om weg te blijven van de conventies in zo’n ruim begrip helpen collages meer gebruik te maken van het onbewuste, het toeval, het spel om meer specifiek te kunnen zijn. Voor bijna alle studenten was het voor het eerst om op die manier te knippen en te plakken, met intrigerend resultaat.

The collage. Using what has been made in recent days, I asked the students to make collages on the topic they will be working on with their own teachers in the coming weeks: the body.
To stay away from the conventions in such a broad concept, collages help make more use of the unconscious, coincidence, the trigger to be more specific. For almost all students it was the first time to cut and paste in this way, with intriguing results.
