Het atelier tegenover mij wordt steeds drie maanden bewoond door twee master-studenten van The Royal College of Art in Londen. Robin Godde is een Fransman die daar nu studeert en onderzoekt hoe het -wereldwijd- met de hooiberg gesteld is. Elk land bouwt zijn eigen hooimijt. Een Zwitser vertelde me dat er daar subsidies zijn voor boeren die de hooimijt weer gewoon op ouderwetse wijze hoog stapelen, zonder plastic verpakking. Robin gaat terug naar Londen en wil kijken hoe hij de hooiberg in de stedelijke omgeving kan plaatsen.

Ik las dat er in Nederland op het ministerie voor landbouw ook een hooibergenbeleidsnota bestaat.

The studio opposite me belongs to The Royal College of Art in London and is each three months inhabited  by two master students.  Robin Godde is a Frenchman who studies there now and examines the- world wide – position of the haystack. Every country builds its own. A Swiss told me that there are subsidies for farmers who simply stack the hay again in an old-fashioned way, without plastic packaging. Robin returns to London to see how he can place the haystack in the urban environment.
I read that there is also a haystack-policy-note at the Ministry of Agriculture in the Netherlands.
